Moroccothon 2026: who owns what

The team owns what they build.

If you are a builder, whatever you and your team make during Moroccothon belongs to you. Global Moroccans claims no ownership of it, no licence to it beyond showing it publicly as part of the event, and no share in anything you go on to do with it.

The business uses it free, permanently.

If you are a business owner who brought a problem, you get to use whatever the team builds for your problem without ever paying for it. That holds even if the team later turns it into a commercial product. You would be their first user, and you would not be charged.

Nothing is guaranteed to be built.

This is a one-day event. Teams choose which problems to take, and not every problem will be picked up. A team may not finish. What gets built may not work well, or at all. Global Moroccans does not promise a result and cannot require a team to keep going.

Nothing is guaranteed to be maintained.

Teams have no obligation to support, host, fix or continue anything after the day. If a team stops, the tool may stop working and there is nothing Global Moroccans can do about that. Please do not build a critical part of your business on something made in a day.

Your business information stays yours.

Whatever you share about how your business works is yours. It is used to build against your problem and for us to describe what the event produced. We will not publish your name, your business name or your details without asking you first.

Nobody takes equity.

Not the team, not Global Moroccans. Nothing here gives anyone a stake in your business.

Global Moroccans is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3).

Nobody is paid, including the organisers. This is offered in good faith and without warranty of any kind.
